Hello Everyone:

My name is Suraj Khadka. I completed my Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from University
of Toledo, Ohio in 2018 and moved to Cincinnati to start my career as a geotechnical engineer with
Terracon Consultants.

During my more than 4 years of experience with Terracon, I have been involved as a project
manager in geotechnical investigation for several substation and transmission line projects, gas pipe-line
projects, solar projects, retail and commercial projects, landslide stabilization projects with coun-ties
and DOTs, roadway projects, etc. I am a professional engineer registered in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking in local parks and making travel vlogs. I also love to play and watch soccer.
My favorite sports teams are FC Cincinnati & Manchester City.

The prime reason behind my nomination for ASCE Secretary is to build my network of relationships
with local engineers and practitioners.

Prabesh Bhandari is a Senior Staff Engineer at Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. based in Cincinnati, Ohio. He received a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Major: Geotechnical Engineering) from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has four years of engineering research experience and more than three years of full-time civil engineering consulting experience. In his current position with Geosyntec Consultants, he is responsible for providing engineering and project management support on multi-disciplinary geotechnical, geostructural, and geoenvironmental projects. He enjoys biking, playing the guitar, cooking, and traveling in his free time. As an officer, he aims to provide leadership support to further grow the Cincy Geotech Group, foster strong professional relationships, and give back to the profession. Prabesh is very excited to assist the Group and help fellow civil engineers in any way he can!
